On February 27th, the Trump administration announced in a letter released on the 26th that New York City must end congestion fees by March 21st. Previously, the US Department of Transportation stated that it would revoke the federal government’s approval of the congestion fee plan for New York City. Two transportation agencies in New York City have filed lawsuits to block the decision. After the implementation of congestion fees in the lower and middle areas of Manhattan Island in New York City on January 5th local time, traffic flow has significantly decreased.
