World’s first humanoid robot achieves new breakthrough in autonomous standing control technology

On February 26th, an algorithm technology jointly released by Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and other institutions can enable humanoid robots to stand quickly and stably from various states. Pang Jiangmiao, a young scientist at the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, said that we should be the world’s first algorithm to be able to stand on generalizable terrain and any terrain. The previous work was basically to make a robot stand up with a fixed program in a fixed terrain and posture, but we learned from the interaction technology and were able to make it stand up very directly in different scenes, terrains, and postures.
