Hamas senior official: If the consequences of the attack on Gaza can be anticipated, they will not support it

On February 25th, Musa Abu Marzuk, a member of the Political Bureau of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), stated that if he could foresee the consequences of the attack on October 7, 2023 on the Gaza Strip, he would not have supported this operation. He also stated that Hamas may be willing to extend the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, but may demand the exchange of more detained Palestinians for Israeli detainees, mentioning the exchange of 500 to 1000 Palestinians for each Israeli personnel.
