The United Nations Security Council has passed a resolution calling for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in the Democratic Republic of the Congo

On February 22, the United Nations Security Council unanimously passed the draft resolution proposed by France to ease the situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo, becoming Resolution 2773. The resolution demands that the anti-government armed group M23 in the Democratic Republic of Congo immediately cease further military operations and calls for an unconditional ceasefire in the country.
