Macron stated that negotiations between the United States and Russia regarding the conflict in Ukraine are related to France’s security and interests. Macron said that Ukraine has put up great resistance, but the situation is worrying because the United States and Russia are discussing a possible ceasefire agreement without consulting with the Ukrainian military. Hope for peace to come, but not a ceasefire based on Ukraine’s compromise. In addition, Macron also said, “We are entering a new era, and the risks are there.” Macron also stated that France has a powerful military, which is the most efficient in Europe, and must strengthen its defense and security. He also stated that at 20:00 local time on that day, he will have a phone call with Ukrainian President Zelensky.
