Chairman of the Sudan Sovereignty Council: We do not accept solutions to the Sudan crisis imposed by external forces

On February 18th, Burhan, Chairman of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, stated that the Sudanese people do not accept a solution to the Sudanese crisis imposed by external forces, nor will they accept a government imposed by external forces. Burhan said that external agents have no place in Sudan. He also stated that the fighting between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Sudanese Rapid Support Force is still ongoing, and the Sudanese Armed Forces have made rapid progress recently and will ultimately achieve victory. On April 15, 2023, armed conflict broke out between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Force in the capital Khartoum, and the fighting subsequently spread to other areas. The armed conflict that has lasted for nearly two years has resulted in approximately 29700 deaths and over 12.4 million people being displaced.
