On February 16th, the US aircraft carrier Harry Truman arrived in Crete, Greece for maintenance. On February 13th Eastern Time, the US Navy issued a statement stating that the Nimitz class aircraft carrier “Harry Truman” collided with the merchant ship “Besiktas-M” while operating near the port of Said in Egypt in the Mediterranean region on the evening of the 12th. The collision accident did not put the aircraft carrier in a critical state, and there were no reports of water entering the cabin or injuries to personnel.
