Canada announces providing approximately 17 million Canadian dollars in aid to Ukraine

On February 17th, the Canadian Department of Global Affairs announced that Canadian Foreign Minister Jolly will provide CAD 15 million to the “Innovative Mine Action for Community Recovery” project under the Ukrainian Community Recovery Fund to help improve Ukraine’s mine clearance capabilities, reduce explosive threats, and promote economic recovery. She also announced an additional funding of 2.2 million Canadian dollars for the cybersecurity assistance project, providing essential cybersecurity support services, equipment, and training that Ukraine urgently needs. It is reported that during the Munich Security Conference, Canadian Foreign Minister Jolly proposed Canada’s foreign policy priorities, including continued support for Ukraine. During the meeting, she met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Serbiga to discuss the situation in Ukraine and expressed continued support for Ukraine.
