On February 16th, according to the National Pipeline Network, the construction of the eastern section of the Sichuan East Gas Pipeline 2, a major energy infrastructure project during the 14th Five Year Plan period, has been fully promoted. Zhao Shi, Deputy General Manager of the Construction Project Management Company of the National Pipeline Network Group, introduced that the construction of the western section project will start in 2023, and the eastern section project is currently being vigorously promoted. As of now, the western section of the project has completed welding for 220 kilometers from Weiyuan to Tongliang, with a comprehensive progress of over 70%. It is expected that the entire Sichuan East Gas Pipeline 2 project will be fully connected by 2027.
