South Korean and US foreign ministers hold talks during the Mukden meeting to discuss multiple issues

On February 15th, South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Dae yeol and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio held talks during the Munich Security Conference in Germany. This is the first time that South Korean and US foreign ministers have held talks since the establishment of the Trump administration. According to the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 15th, the foreign ministers of South Korea and the United States have had many discussions on the North Korean nuclear issue. The United States has promised to closely consult with South Korea on the complete denuclearization of North Korea. In addition, the foreign ministers of the two countries also discussed issues such as Trump’s proposal to impose tariffs on countries with trade surpluses with the United States. The foreign ministers of the two countries have unanimously decided to actively cooperate in energy, cutting-edge technologies, and other fields such as atomic energy and liquefied natural gas.
