On February 15th, Indonesian President and Chairman of the Indonesian Action Party, Prabowo, announced at the party’s 17th anniversary celebration that the government will launch 15 large-scale downstream projects worth billions of dollars this year. Prabowo stated in his speech that downgrading, as one of the core policies of the cabinet, aims to optimize the development and utilization of natural resources such as the ocean, increase the added value of goods produced using these resources, create more employment opportunities for the people, and promote economic equity and people’s well-being.
