Kazan Brigade releases 3 people and begins the exchange of the fifth batch of detained individuals

On February 8th, the armed faction of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), the Kassan Brigade, released three Israeli detainees. In Deir Barah, located in the central Gaza Strip, armed members of the Kassan Brigade handed over detained individuals to staff of the International Committee of the Red Cross. The Israeli Ministry of Health previously stated that three Israeli detainees will be sent to two hospitals in central Israel after undergoing preliminary medical examinations. According to the arrangement, Israel will release 183 Palestinian detainees later that day after accepting 3 Israeli detainees. This is the fifth exchange of detained personnel since the ceasefire agreement came into effect.
