China Meteorological Administration launches Level 4 emergency response for geological disaster relief meteorological support services

On February 8th, according to the Emergency Management Office of the China Meteorological Administration, a landslide occurred in Jinping Village, Muai Town, Junlian County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province at around 11:50 am, burying several houses and trapping people. The National Disaster Prevention, Reduction and Relief Commission has launched a national level four emergency response for disaster relief. The China Meteorological Administration launched a Level 4 emergency response for geological disaster relief meteorological support services at 18:30 on February 8, requiring all relevant functional departments and directly affiliated units to immediately enter the Level 4 emergency response state for geological disaster relief meteorological support services and make every effort to provide meteorological support services for geological disaster relief.
