Previously, the US Senate Finance Committee approved Besson’s nomination with 16 votes in favor and 11 votes against on the 21st, and the Senate advanced the confirmation process for Besson’s nomination as Secretary of the Treasury with 67 votes in favor and 23 votes against on the 25th.
