On January 25th, the Lebanese military issued a statement stating that as the 60 day ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel is about to expire, the Lebanese military is still working hard to complete engineering surveys, open roads, handle unexploded ordnance, and closely monitor the conflict situation, especially the ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement and Lebanese sovereignty. The statement pointed out that since the first day of the Lebanon Israel ceasefire agreement coming into effect, the Lebanese side has been implementing the action plan for deploying troops in southern Lebanon and coordinating with the committee responsible for monitoring the implementation of the ceasefire agreement and the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon. However, due to Israel’s delayed withdrawal, there have been delays in multiple stages, making the deployment task of the Lebanese army more complex. The statement stated that once Israel withdraws, the Lebanese army will complete its deployment at any time.
