On January 25th, a US federal judge announced on January 24th local time that Stuart Rhodes, founder of the far right organization “Guardians of the Oath,” and other defendants involved in the “Capitol Hill riot” case are prohibited from entering Washington D.C. and the US Capitol building. After the 2020 US presidential election, then Republican President Donald Trump refused to concede to his Democratic opponent Joseph Biden and repeatedly claimed the existence of large-scale election fraud. On January 6, 2021, a large number of Trump supporters violently broke into the Capitol building, causing riots and resulting in 5 deaths and approximately 140 injuries.
