On January 24th, the White House announced in a statement that US President Donald Trump has signed an order to establish a cryptocurrency working group with the task of providing recommendations on the federal regulatory framework for digital assets and evaluating the possibility of establishing a national digital asset inventory. The executive order also prohibits the creation of a US central bank digital currency.
