The Sudanese Armed Forces say they have killed over 40 members of the Rapid Support Force

On January 20th, the Sudanese Armed Forces issued a statement saying that the military launched a military operation in El Fasher, the capital of Northern Darfur state in western Sudan, on the 18th, killing more than 40 members of the Sudanese Rapid Support Force. The statement said that on the 18th, the Sudanese Armed Forces dispatched fighter jets to launch three airstrikes on multiple control points of the Sudanese Rapid Support Force distributed in the northeast and south of El Fasher city, killing more than 40 Sudanese Rapid Support Force personnel and injuring multiple others.
