Both the military and Hamas affiliated armed factions have expressed their demands for each other to abide by the ceasefire agreement

On January 20th, the Israeli Defense Forces and the armed faction of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), the Kassan Brigade, respectively stated their demands for the other party to effectively abide by the Gaza ceasefire agreement. Israeli Defense Forces spokesperson Hagari stated that Israel “will not tolerate any actions that violate the ceasefire agreement”. Abu Ubaida, spokesperson for the Kassan Brigade, stated in a video speech that the brigade will strictly abide by the terms of the ceasefire agreement, and whether the agreement can be successfully implemented depends on Israel’s implementation. He also called on relevant mediators to exert pressure on Israel to ensure its compliance with the ceasefire agreement.
