On January 17th, the State Council recently approved in principle the “Lhasa City Land and Space Master Plan (2021-2035)” reviewed and approved by the Ministry of Natural Resources. Among them, it is proposed that by 2035, the cultivated land ownership in Lhasa City shall not be less than 766100 mu, of which the permanent basic farmland protection area shall not be less than 549200 mu; The ecological protection red line area shall not be less than 9674.59 square kilometers; The boundary area of urban development shall be controlled within 230.55 square kilometers; The construction land use area per unit of GDP has decreased by no less than 40%; The total water consumption shall not exceed the target set by the higher authorities, and shall not exceed 737 million cubic meters by 2025. Clarify the key prevention and control areas for natural disaster risks, delineate risk control lines for floods, earthquakes, as well as green space system lines, water protection lines, historical and cultural protection lines, and infrastructure construction control lines, and implement safety guarantee space for strategic mineral resources.
