Trump’s former personal lawyer Giuliani reached preliminary settlement in defamation case

On January 17th, former New York City Mayor and former personal lawyer of President elect Trump, Rudy Giuliani, reached a preliminary settlement agreement with two former Georgia election workers involved in the defamation case, ending multiple lawsuits sparked by the defamation case. This case previously ruled that Giuliani needs to pay millions of dollars in compensation. Giuliani stated that according to the settlement agreement, he will retain his apartment and other personal property located in Florida, and both parties agree not to discuss each other in any defamatory way. However, as the settlement agreement has not been made public, its specific content is still unclear. At present, the court has postponed the relevant court hearings and hearings to after February 25th in order to enforce the agreement. Giuliani stated in the statement that this settlement does not represent his admission of any responsibility and called on all parties to stop attacking each other.
