On January 17th, an Israeli official said on the 16th that the “final controversial issue” between Israel and the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) regarding the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip has been resolved, with the two sides’ last-minute differences focused on the list of Palestinian detainees to be released soon. According to Israeli media reports, the Israeli Security Cabinet will hold a meeting on the 17th to vote on the ceasefire agreement, which will only come into effect after the vote is passed.
