On the night of January 16th, the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office announced that Prime Minister Netanyahu had spoken with US President elect Trump and US President Biden respectively to reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza. With the announcement from the Prime Minister’s Office, Netanyahu publicly confirmed for the first time that Israel has accepted the Gaza ceasefire agreement to release detainees, which is expected to take effect on the 19th.
