Without prior application for a US military “Osprey” transport plane to “prevent landing” at a Japanese airport

On January 15th, a “Osprey” transport plane belonging to the Okinawa based military base in Japan and the United States landed at the Chongyongliangbu Airport in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan on the afternoon of the 14th without submitting a landing request to the airport in advance. The Kyushu Defense Agency of Japan stated that a warning signal appeared in the cabin of the US military “Osprey” transport plane at that time, and therefore a “precautionary landing” was carried out. This US military “Osprey” transport plane departed from the airport around 4:00 pm local time on the 14th. Due to the incident, one passenger plane was delayed.
