On January 15th, South Korean police issued an arrest warrant for Lee Gwangyu, the head of the Presidential Guard Department. On the early morning of the 15th, personnel from the South Korean Senior Public Officials Criminal Investigation Agency (Public Mediation Agency) arrived at the South Korean Presidential Palace located in Yongsan gu, Seoul, and presented a court issued arrest warrant for President Yoon Suk yeol. They confronted personnel from the Presidential Guard Agency outside the Presidential Palace. Law enforcement officers attempted to enter the official residence and collided and pushed with obstructing personnel. The South Korean police have begun to drive away and obstruct personnel from the scene.
