The reason for the large-scale short-term internet outage in Russia is still unclear

On January 15th, according to the Russian Federal Office for the Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media, large-scale network disruptions occurred in multiple regions of Russia from approximately 5:05 pm to 5:30 pm Moscow time on the 14th, affecting both fixed and mobile networks. As of 17:55 on the same day, some mobile clients related to finance, navigation, and shared services were still unable to function properly. The relevant departments are investigating the cause of the accident.
