Kuala Lumpur, January 15 (Xinhua) — The A and B sections of the main track of the Malaysia East Coast Railway (MCA) project, which was constructed by Chinese enterprises, were officially laid on the 15th, marking an important stage in the construction of the entire MCA project track laying.
The main line A and B sections of the Ma Dong Railway project, constructed by China Communications Construction Group Co., Ltd., run from Malan in Pahang state to Kota Bharu, the capital of Kelantan state, with a total length of about 400 kilometers.
Darvis Abdul Razak, CEO of Malaysia Rail Link, the project owner, stated at the paving ceremony on the same day that the smooth paving of sections A and B of the Malaysia East Rail project was thanks to China’s advanced technology support, as well as the dedication and teamwork spirit of the entire project staff.
Kong Qi, General Manager of China Communications Construction’s Ma Dong Railway Project, stated that the project team will continue to adhere to advanced technology and efficient construction methods, attach importance to cultivating skilled technical personnel, and contribute to Malaysia’s infrastructure construction and sustainable development.
Malaysia East Railway Project is the flagship project of China Malaysia cooperation on the “the Belt and Road”, with a design length of more than 600 kilometers. After completion, it will drive the economic development of the eastern coast of Malaysia and greatly improve the connectivity of regions along the line.
