On January 14, Russian President’s press secretary Peskov said to the media on the 13th that Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov had discussed with President Miller of Gazprom about Ukraine’s use of drones to attack the natural gas compression station related to the “Türkiye Creek” pipeline. Peskov stated that this attack indicates that Ukrainian authorities continue to carry out “energy terrorism” under the instigation of so-called “overseas friends”. He pointed out that it is very dangerous for European natural gas users to attack the facilities related to “Türkiye Creek”. Peskov also stated that the United States is a beneficiary of Russia’s reduction in natural gas supply to the international market.
