The California wildfire in the United States has caused 16 deaths, and progress in firefighting efforts is limited

On January 13th, according to US media reports, multiple wildfires that started on the 7th are still raging today. As of now, the wildfire has caused 16 deaths, 16 people are missing, tens of thousands of buildings have been destroyed, and over 50000 buildings are in danger. However, progress in firefighting efforts is still limited. According to data released by the California Forestry and Fire Department on the 12th local time, there are currently 105 wildfires of various sizes across California, with a total burned area exceeding 163 square kilometers. Among the several major wildfires in southern California, the smaller Kenneth wildfire is completely under control, while the smaller Hearst wildfire has 89% under control, with a current burned area of approximately 3.2 square kilometers. The second largest wildfire in scale, the Eaton Mountain Fire, has not changed in area compared to a day ago, still covering 57 square kilometers, with 27% already under control. The largest scale Palisade wildfire is still spreading, with the burned area increasing from about 87 square kilometers a day ago to about 96 square kilometers. Currently, only 11% of Palisade wildfires are under control.
