Slovak Prime Minister: Russia will use alternative routes to transport natural gas

On January 12th, Slovak Prime Minister Fizo announced that according to the contract commitment, Russia will deliver all natural gas in the contract to Slovakia in the coming period. When natural gas transportation through Ukraine is interrupted, Russia should use alternative routes, such as the pipeline through Hungary. Fizo believes that Slovakia has ensured recent natural gas supply, but the problem lies in the suspension of natural gas transit through Slovakia to other Western European countries, resulting in loss of transit fees and pressure from rising energy prices.
