On January 12th, officials from the California Emergency Services Office announced that over 150000 people in Los Angeles County received evacuation orders on the evening of the 11th, with more than 700 people living in 9 available shelters. At least four major fires are currently raging in Los Angeles County. According to the California Fire Department, the Kenneth fire in Los Angeles County and Ventura County has been controlled by 90%, the Hearst fire in Los Angeles City has been controlled by 76%, and the Palisade fire has burned over 95.7 square kilometers of land since its outbreak on January 7th, with only 11% currently under control. In addition, the Eaton wildfire has burned an area of 57.1 square kilometers, with 15% currently under control and causing at least 11 deaths, making it one of the deadliest wildfires in California.
