Dry+Strong Wind Continues US Meteorological Department: California Fire Still Unstable

On January 12th, the National Weather Service of the United States stated that the next few days are crucial for extinguishing the California wildfires. Dry weather and strong winds are expected to continue in southern California, and there may be rainfall later next week. According to reports, Los Angeles County and Ventura County have issued “red flag warnings” that will continue until 6:00 pm local time on the 15th. The local meteorological department stated that the more extreme weather conditions are caused by the “Santa Ana wind”, and it is expected that the wind will reach its peak on the morning of the 12th, gradually weaken during the day, and strengthen again from the evening of the 13th to the 14th. The meteorological department warns that extremely dry vegetation combined with prolonged extreme fire weather conditions will lead to rapid spread of new and old fires and exacerbate the instability of the flames.
