The foreign ministers of Egypt, Somalia, and Eritrea held a meeting to discuss issues such as the situation in the Red Sea

On January 11th, the foreign ministers of Egypt, Somalia, and Eritrea held a meeting in Cairo, and after the meeting, the three foreign ministers held a joint press conference. Egyptian Foreign Minister Abdul Ati stated at the press conference that the trilateral foreign ministers’ meeting unanimously supports Somalia’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, and opposes any unilateral interference in Somalia’s internal affairs. The three countries also unanimously believe that the issue of Red Sea security should be limited to coastal countries and oppose any military presence in the Red Sea.
