On January 8th, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, met with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar in Abu Dhabi to discuss the latest developments in bilateral relations and the region. Al Nahyan stated that the Middle East is facing unprecedented tension and instability, and the top priority is to end the tension and violence, protect civilian lives, and make every effort to facilitate emergency humanitarian aid. Al Nahyan also stated that the UAE is firmly committed to supporting Palestine and its right to self-determination, and will continue to provide humanitarian assistance to it.
