On January 5th, UK Health Secretary Wes Strichting stated that Elon Musk’s attack on UK MP Jess Phillips is a “shameful defamation”. Musk previously accused Phillips on social media platforms of being “imprisoned”. Previously, Phillips refused to initiate a national investigation to address the issue of child sexual exploitation in the Oldham area, and subsequently the Conservative Party and Reform UK Party called for a national investigation into sexual assault groups. Regarding this, Strettin stated that Phillips has done “much more than most people” in combating sexual assault, and called Musk’s remarks “reckless and irresponsible”.
