Slovak parliamentary delegation to visit Russia aims to repair bilateral relations

On January 6th, Andrei Danko, Deputy Speaker of the Slovak National Assembly, stated in an interview with local media that he will lead a parliamentary delegation to visit Russia this month and plan to hold talks with the Russian State Duma and government leadership. Danko stated that this visit aims to repair relations with Russia and is a continuation of the dialogue initiated by Prime Minister Fizo in Moscow. On December 22, 2024, Fizo visited Moscow and held talks with Putin. Danko emphasized the impact of Russia’s natural gas interruption on Slovakia and the entire European economy, believing that Europe “will come to a standstill” due to this decision.
