On January 5th, according to the National Film Administration, the National Film Directors’ Conference was held in Beijing on January 4th to arrange and deploy key film work for 2025. The meeting emphasized that 2025 is the final year to achieve the goals and tasks of the 14th Five Year Plan for movies. The film front should anchor the strategic goal of building a cultural and film power, firmly believe in diligence, eagerness to learn and excel in literature, focus on launching more high-quality films, further deepen the reform of the film industry, actively create a healthy and active film ecology, and promote the high-quality development of films in 2025 to take more solid steps. The meeting requires us to firmly deepen the reform in the film industry, stimulate innovation and creativity, and promote the great prosperity and development of the film industry. To innovate and promote the “going global” of films, expand international exchanges and cooperation in film, and enhance the international competitiveness and influence of Chinese films.
