On January 4th, at around 8:40 am today, a fire broke out in a vegetable market in Qiaoxi District, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province. After receiving the alarm, the local fire department quickly went to the scene to put out the fire, and the open flame was extinguished around 10am in the morning. At 12:50, the on-site rescue work was completed. The accident resulted in 8 deaths and 15 injuries. The injured have been sent to the hospital for treatment and are currently in no life-threatening condition. The cause of the accident is under further investigation.
