On December 29th, Candice Adil, Deputy Spokesperson for the United Nations Joint Force in Lebanon, stated that Israel has informed the Force that “the security of peacekeeping forces near the Tabe area in southern Lebanon cannot be guaranteed” and that patrols “must avoid the area”. Adil emphasized that the safety of peacekeeping personnel is of paramount importance, and we will not take any action that would expose them to unnecessary danger.
