On December 28th, the Presidential News Agency of Kazakhstan announced that President Tokayev held a working meeting on the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines plane in Ha’aktau, and listened to reports from the chairman of the government committee handling the crash, Deputy Prime Minister Bozombayev, and others. Tokayev instructed the government committee to provide all necessary medical and psychological assistance to injured foreign citizens, and to pay attention to the relatives of the deceased Kazakh citizens. Tokayev also instructed the government committee, the Kazakhstan Prosecutor General’s Office, and other competent agencies to conduct a comprehensive and objective investigation into the plane crash incident. In addition, regarding the investigation of the plane crash incident, Tokayev pointed out that it is necessary to prevent information provocation and falsification activities, and he also pointed out the need to conduct inspections of the aviation safety situation throughout Kazakhstan.
