Minsk, December 28 (Xinhua) — Air China opened its Beijing Xi’an Minsk round-trip route on the 28th, and the inaugural celebration ceremony was held at the Minsk National Airport in the capital of Belarus.
Wang Ruijuan, Counsellor of the Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Belarus, delivered a speech at the ceremony, saying that under the strategic leadership of the leaders of the two countries, China Belarus relations have maintained a strong momentum of development, and the joint construction of the “the Belt and Road” cooperation has yielded fruitful results. It is believed that the opening of the new route will build another bridge of friendship between China and Belarus and open up new channels for promoting mutual exchanges, friendship and practical cooperation between the two peoples.

Golub, Director of the Aviation Bureau of the Belarusian Ministry of Transport, stated that the development of aviation connections is an important aspect of bilateral cooperation between Belarus and China, which helps to strengthen friendship and mutual understanding between the two countries. The opening of the new air route will inject new impetus into the cooperation between the two countries in the field of air transportation, provide more opportunities for Belarusians to understand China’s profound history, and help further develop the economic, social, and cultural ties between Belarus and China.
The General Manager of Minsk National Airport, Cheleukhin, said that the new route has become an air bridge between Belarus and China, witnessing the aviation partnership between the two countries reaching a new level and creating more opportunities for the development of tourism, economy, trade, and culture between the two countries. He stated that Minsk National Airport will make every effort to ensure the high-level development of aviation cooperation between the two countries.
It is reported that Air China plans to operate one round-trip flight per week on the Beijing Xi’an Minsk route, using Airbus A330 aircraft, with a schedule of every Saturday.
