The silicon wafer sector is shifting towards supply shortage, and the transaction price of polycrystalline silicon has slightly increased

On December 28th, data released by the Silicon Industry Branch of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association showed that the transaction price of polycrystalline silicon slightly increased this week. Among them, the average transaction price of N-type composite materials was 40600 yuan/ton, an increase of 0.74% month on month; The average transaction price of N-type granular silicon was 38000 yuan/ton, an increase of 2.70% compared to the previous period; The average transaction price of P-type silicon material was 33100 yuan/ton, unchanged from the previous month. The Silicon Industry Branch pointed out that due to the fact that the pre holiday stockpiling of direct downstream has basically ended in early this month, there is a trend of transferring polycrystalline silicon inventory from upstream manufacturers to downstream consumer enterprises, and the prices of this part of the orders are mainly concentrated at 40000 yuan/ton and below. The price of downstream direct procurement orders has not shown significant changes, mainly due to the short-term inability to reverse the supply and demand relationship of polycrystalline silicon.
