Serbia and China support each other on major national interest issues, which is the cornerstone of the stable development of bilateral relations. “Giuric expressed gratitude to China for supporting Serbia’s efforts to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity on the issue of Kosovo and Metohija. Serbia firmly adheres to the One China principle and is willing to continue actively implementing all China’s initiatives to promote peace and prosperity for mankind.
In the field of economy and trade, Julich stated that the economic cooperation between the two countries has continuously broken records in recent years, and both sides have benefited greatly. The China Serbia Free Trade Agreement officially came into effect on July 1st this year, injecting more momentum into bilateral trade and promoting more balanced development.
From the tire factory invested and cooperated by Chinese enterprises in Serbia starting mass production in September, to the Serbian police appearing in Hainan to carry out joint police patrols, and to the smooth opening of the Upper Milanovac Ring Road built by Chinese enterprises in October… Speaking of these cooperation achievements, Giuric said that the economic cooperation between the two countries covers multiple fields such as highways, railways, and energy, especially the substantial cooperation between numerous Chinese enterprises and Serbia, enriching the connotation of bilateral cooperation.
Looking ahead to the future, Jirich is full of confidence in the cooperation between the two countries. He said that Serbia actively participates in the cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries and jointly builds the “the Belt and Road” cooperation. Meanwhile, Serbia is committed to becoming a leader in innovative technologies in the region and looks forward to deepening cooperation with China in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and digital transformation.
