Ulaanbaatar, October 31 (Xinhua) — The “Together under the Blue Sky, Building Human Love” charity donation and the 5th anniversary commemoration of the operation of the China Aid Mongolia Disabled Children Rehabilitation and Development Center, sponsored by the Chinese Embassy in Mongolia and co organized by China Railway Fourth Group Co., Ltd. and the Mongolian Disabled Children Rehabilitation and Development Center, was held on October 31 in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia.
Chinese Ambassador to Mongolia Shen Minjuan, Mongolian Minister of Family, Labor and Social Security Enkhamuguleng, representatives of international organizations in Mongolia, as well as the General Manager of China Railway Fourth Group Mongolia Company An Ye and the head of the Mongolian Rehabilitation and Development Center for Disabled Children attended the event on that day.
Shen Minjuan said that China’s assistance in the construction of the Mongolian Rehabilitation and Development Center for Disabled Children is an important livelihood project implemented by both sides on the basis of the principle of “consultation, joint construction and sharing” of the “the Belt and Road” initiative under the leadership of the high-level strategies of the two countries. Chinese companies have overcome multiple difficulties such as climate conditions and tight construction schedules to build the largest, most modern, and fully functional rehabilitation and treatment facility for disabled children in Mongolia. The Chinese government attaches great importance to the development of its own children’s cause and actively promotes the healthy growth of children worldwide, including Mongolia.
At the event ceremony, Shen Minjuan signed a donation agreement with the head of the Mongolian Rehabilitation and Development Center for Disabled Children to donate medical equipment, 3D printers, and other materials for disabled children, and presented awards to the nursing staff who were commended by the center.
Enkhamuguleng stated that this project fills the gap in Mongolia’s rehabilitation of disabled children and provides modern rehabilitation services for disabled children and their families.
The Mongolian Rehabilitation and Development Center for Disabled Children project was constructed by China Railway Fourth Bureau and officially put into use in May 2019. It is reported that in the five years since its completion and operation, the center has received more than 42000 patients, playing an important role in helping disabled children with rehabilitation therapy and physical and mental recovery, and providing important support for improving the level of medical care in Mongolia.
