China’s aid to Niue island road upgrade project successfully handed over

The completion and handover ceremony of the Niue Island Road Upgrade Project, undertaken by China Railway First Group Co., Ltd., was recently held in Alofi, the capital of Niue. According to the project party, China’s assistance to Niue’s roundabout highway upgrading project is a landmark project of the “the Belt and Road” jointly built by China and New Zealand, and an important part of the “21st Century Maritime Silk Road”. The project will commence in April 2023, with a total length of 46.1 kilometers.
