On October 7th, local time, the Chinese Navy’s “Peace Ark” hospital ship, carrying out the “Harmony Mission-2024” mission, arrived at the port of Douala, Cameroon, to begin a 7-day friendly visit to Cameroon and provide medical services. This is the first visit of the hospital ship “Peace Ark” to Cameroon.

During the visit, the “Peace Ark” hospital ship will use the main platform to provide medical services and send multiple expert teams and patrol teams to local hospitals, military, and government agencies to carry out joint diagnosis and treatment, academic exchanges, equipment maintenance, first aid skills training, and other activities. In addition, representatives of the mission officers and soldiers will also go to local schools, orphanages, and military bases to conduct health knowledge lectures and cultural exchanges, and hold friendly football matches with the soldiers of the Qatari army.

On the day before arriving at the port, the hospital ship “Peace Ark” and two patrol boats of the Qatari Navy held a joint exercise in the waters near the port of Douala, with formation rendezvous and formation movement as the main subjects.
