Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, September 5- Senegalese President Faye said at the opening ceremony of the Beijing summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation of the Forum on China Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) on September 5 that FOCAC, based on dialogue, mutual respect and joint construction, has set an example of building an effective partnership.
Senegal has been serving as the African Co Chair of the Forum on China Africa Cooperation since September 2018. During the opening ceremony of the summit, Faye said that as the newly elected president of Senegal, he reiterated Senegal’s firm commitment to Africa China cooperation, which is based on common values such as equal treatment of different civilizations, commitment to mutual benefit and win-win cooperation, and solidarity and cooperation.
Looking ahead to the future, Faye looks forward to further strengthening cooperation between Africa and China in areas such as agricultural modernization, infrastructure construction, industrialization in Africa, and digital construction.
