On September 2nd local time, the Venezuelan government issued a statement condemning the previous illegal detention of President Maduro’s plane by the US government. The communique stated that the US actions are criminal and an example of its illegal unilateral sanctions in the world. No country or government can ignore international law and take illegal actions. The Venezuelan government reserves all rights to pursue its legal responsibilities. In addition, Dominican Foreign Minister Alvarez stated on the same day that the Dominican government and prosecutor’s office were not involved in the relevant investigation by the United States.
