On September 2nd, Russian President Putin attended an open class event at a middle school in Kizil, the capital of the Tuva Republic of the Russian Federation. When talking about the importance of language learning, he said that learning Chinese in Russia is becoming increasingly “hot” and that his family has children who “can speak Chinese and speak it very fluently”.
