Tunisia, August 21 (Xinhua) — Tunisian Prime Minister Kamal Maduri recently highly praised the friendly relationship between Tunisia and China, stating that Tunisia is willing to share cooperation opportunities in areas such as the economy with China and promote the development of bilateral relations.
During a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Tunisia Wan Li on the 20th, Maduro stated that this year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Tunisian President Said’s recent visit to China has injected new impetus into the further expansion of bilateral relations between Tunisia and China.
Wan Li expressed that China is willing to work with Tunisia to effectively implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, enhance political mutual trust, strengthen cooperation in various fields, and deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Both sides also discussed Tunisia’s participation in the upcoming Forum on China Africa Cooperation summit to be held in Beijing from September 4th to 6th.
